Meet Jane*: A Story of Resilience

Jane’s journey embodies the importance of community support in mental health recovery. Once a vibrant athlete and jokester in high school, Jane found herself struggling to cope with mental health challenges, leading to feelings of failure and isolation. However, her life took a positive turn when she discovered Prosper Place, a peer-led program under CMHA Edmonton. Through the support and acceptance she found within the program, Jane regained her confidence, embraced her culinary skills, and emerged as a leader among her peers.
